New Grant Helps Credit Union Make Higher Value Loans

St Albans District Credit Union is delighted to have been awarded a further grant of £50,000 from the Lloyds Banking Group Credit Union Development Fund to support our growth.

The new grant will help the Credit Union continue to make higher value loans (over £5,000) by ensuring that we meet the relevant financial regulations, including maintaining a strong capital asset ratio. Learn more about our Homeowner Loans here

Treasurer, David Edwards, said “This very welcome award has provided the credit union with additional capital which will greatly assist the organisation to continue its work in the community for the foreseeable future.”

This award follows on from a smaller grant from the same fund in 2016 which was used for the purchase of a new IT back office system.
